For my project in my capstone class, We were tasked with designing and manufacturing a rig that will mist cold water onto objects up to a maximum length of 18ft.
For my project in my capstone class, We were tasked with designing and manufacturing a rig that will mist cold water onto objects up to a maximum length of 18ft.
This project was sponsored by Raytheon. We were given a budget of $2000 to build this rig. Key design requirements that Raytheon was looking for was: Modular, Movable, Good water coverage, and water being cooling down to 5°C. To achieve this we ran the water through a water chiller and then into a 6 different diffusers that help disperse the water. For more information refer to the report below. This project taught me better documentation and time management.
